WE NEED MORE LIKE HER:  A fed-up Seattle cop speaks the truth.  But will the liberal establishment listen?  I doubt it because liberals have their lives invested in a fraud, and it's hard to admit it.  As for Joe and Kamala, they probably still believe the party line.  From Fox:

Former Seattle police Lieutenant Jessica Taylor blasted the crime-ridden liberal city as a "disgrace" and lamented that criminals are in charge in a scathing 15-page resignation letter she handed over to her boss.

"Chief [Adrian] Diaz, let me tell you, the state of the Seattle Police Department and the city is a disgrace. The criminals are running this city," she wrote in part.

The toxic mix of the Seattle City Council's absurdity, the spinelessness of the Mayor, the leniency of the prosecutor's office, and your failed leadership has accelerated this city's downhill slide straight to rock bottom. The problems were already brewing before you came on the scene, but, since your arrival, it’s been a free fall into anarchy & chaos."

Taylor joined "Fox & Friends" on Thursday, where she told co-host Ainsley Earhardt about what compelled her to write the letter and why she resigned from the force after serving more than 20 years.

"I moved to Seattle in 1998. It was absolutely beautiful, and it was clean, and the department had a great reputation, and it was outstanding… and I was able to do my job, and I thought I did it really well," she said.

"But, over the years, it has just gone from the very top to the very bottom, and I just I can't do it anymore. I can't live the lie."

Taylor said, during her time serving with the Seattle police, she poured her "heart" and "soul" into the job, and she felt the need to say what was on her mind after seeing the city make its sharp decline.

"I wanted to go out saying the truth, so I did," she continued.

Taylor left the department on Aug. 1 and went public with the letter this Tuesday on "The Jason Rantz Show" on KTTH. In its 15 pages, she blasted the department as a "a breeding ground of lies, deceit, favoritism, and rampant corruption."

On-air Thursday, she cited "lack of support" from management despite being in management herself.

COMMENT:  Read the rest.  My question is, what happens to her now?   We know, of course, she'll be labeled a racist.  The forces of the left will trash her reputation.  Most of the press will ignore her.  Any good department should want her, but will anyone have the guts to hire her?

Here in New York there is a constant drumbeat of resignations from the NYPD, and very few people seem to care.  New York State is run by a crowd that considers Lenin a conservative.  The mayor of New York City would like to do the right thing, but hasn't got the power or the money.  The New York Times is busy dumbing itself down.

And the citizens?  Well, many are moving out.  And the ones who remain will probably go to the polls and elect the same people who are destroying the town.  Why would any tourist bother to come.

We wait for a political miracle.  They normally don't happen.

MAYBE A MODEL T WOULD BE BETTER:  There are growing doubts about electric cars.  Will the mainstream press take notice?  From Issues and Insights:

Three California residents last week filed a lawsuit against Tesla for what they claim is false advertising over the car’s range. But why stop at Tesla? And why just sue over false claims about range when every other claim about EVs is also a lie?

The lawsuit comes in the wake of a Reuters report contending that Tesla had been goosing the range displayed on its dashboard and created a “diversion team” to deal with all the customer complaints about faulty batteries.

The filing claims that “had Tesla honestly advertised its electric vehicle ranges, consumers either would not have purchased Tesla model vehicles, or else would have paid substantially less for them.”

But this isn’t new news. There have been several reports over the years about the wildly inflated EV range claims.

A little over a year ago, Forbes published an article detailing how the advertised range of EVs was often way off.

“I’ve been road testing electric cars regularly for more than two years now, and not once has a battery-only vehicle met the claimed capacity for its battery,” wrote senior contributor Neil Winton. “The average shortfall is close to 20%.”

Tesla actually did better in his tests than some of the other EVs.

A report from Car & Driver last August found that only three cars it tested did better than the official EPA range estimate. Tesla’s Model S is supposed to go 348 miles on a charge but only made it 280 miles. Ford’s electric F-150 came up 70 miles short of its reported 300-mile range.

SAE International studied the performance of 21 EV models this year and found that, on average, the cars’ range was inflated by 12.5%. “Most (EVs) tested to date fall short of both their electric consumption and range label values,” the report finds. EVs, it turns out, do worse on long-distance trips than urban short hauls because constant braking helps recharge their batteries.

The real-world range of EVs is even worse than these studies show because, unlike with gas-powered cars, weather can dramatically reduce an EV’s range.

Consumer Reports tested how well EVs performed in different weather conditions and “found that cold weather saps about 25% of range when cruising at 70 mph compared with the same conditions in mild weather. In the past, we found that short trips in the cold with frequent stops and the need to reheat the cabin saps 50% of the range.”

COMMENT:  Please read the rest.  Obviously it is an advocacy piece, but the source is solid and the arguments compelling.  We are seeing a scam before our eyes.  Will someone in the mainstream press please use the word.

AUGUST 7-8,  2023

ANOTHER MILITARY THREAT – THE MIDEAST:   A few days ago we noted the presence of Russian and Chinese warships off the coast of Alaska.  Now we see that more American warships are moving through the Mideast in a show of force.  There's no shortage of hotspots.  Maybe the mainstream media should pay some attention...before the blowup occurs.  From Breitbart:

Upwards of 3,000 U.S. sailors and Marines sailed into the Red Sea on Monday after transiting the Suez Canal in a pre-announced deployment, the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet said in a statement.

The reinforcements were carried aboard the USS Bataan and USS Carter Hall warships, providing “greater flexibility and maritime capability” to the Fifth Fleet, the statement seen by Agence France-Presse (AFP) added.

Their arrival followed a U.S. announcement last month it would deploy a destroyer, F-35 and F-16 warplanes, along with the Amphibious Readiness Group/Marine Expeditionary Unit, to the Middle East to deter Iran from seizing ships in the Gulf.

The U.S. military says Iran has either seized or attempted to take control of nearly 20 internationally flagged ships in the region over the past two years and the Biden White House wants to see more forces in the region to stand ready to engage Iran if required, as Breitbart News reported.

USS Bataan is an amphibious assault ship which can carry fixed-wing and rotary aircraft as well as landing craft. The USS Carter Hall, a dock landing ship, transports Marines, their gear, and lands them ashore.

“These units add significant operational flexibility and capability as we work… to deter destabilising activity and deescalate regional tensions caused by Iran’s harassment and seizures of merchant vessels,” Fifth Fleet spokesman Commander Tim Hawkins told AFP.

The deployment comes after Washington said its forces blocked two attempts by Iran to seize commercial tankers in international waters off Oman on July 5.

About a fifth of the world’s crude oil and oil products passes through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow choke point between Iran and Oman.

COMMENT:  The press is clearly not paying enough attention to foreign threats.  Iran is always a threat, and Russia and China are working together.  There's a lot more going on in the world than the Trump story here at home.

THIS IS AMERICA?  GEORGIA PREPARES FOR TRUMP.  THEIR LOCAL POLS WANT A PIECE OF THE ACTION.  FROM DAILY MAIL:

Days after former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to his third set of criminal charges, police in Atlanta set up barriers Monday around the city's courthouse as the city braces for an indictment in yet another case related the 2020 election.

Officers closed roads, dogs patroled the area and food trucks stayed away from the normally busy court district.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is in the final stages of her investigation into Trump's efforts to reverse his defeat in the key swing state of Georgia.

If he is indicted, it will the fourth time he has been criminally charged since March.
Last week, Fulton County Sheriff Patrick Labat set out what he called a 'protective plan.'

'Our goal is to have all the services we normally have open and operational but at the same time create a safe environment for those that we actually service,' he told a press conference.

The precautions reflect how a divided country is entering uncharted territory, with the potential for mass demonstrations or a repeat of the violence that broke out on January 6, 2021.

Trump, 77, remains the clear frontrunner for the Republican Party's 2024 nomination.
But his election timetable must now accommodate a slew of court hearings.

Last week he appeared in federal court in Washington to plead not guilty to charges that he conspired to defraud the U.S. by preventing Congress from certifying Democratic President Joe Biden's victory, depriving U.S. voters of their right to a fair election.

Earlier in the summer it was Miami. There he pleaded not guilty to charges related to his handling of government documents and an alleged cover-up.

And in April he surrendered to authorities in New York where he is accused of falsifying business records as part of a hush money payment to a porn star. He pleaded not guilty in that case.

Now Atlanta could be the next setting for his criminal battles.

On Monday, the front of the courthouse had been lined with rows of orange plastic barricades as well as steel fencing.

Local media are reporting that an indictment is expected this week...

...The state was a focus of Trump and his allies as they sought to cling to power in the wake of his 2020 election vote.

The then president was caught on tape urging Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to help him.

'The people of Georgia are angry, the people in the country are angry,' he said in audio obtained by the Washington Post. 'And there’s nothing wrong with saying, you know, um, that you’ve recalculated.'

Raffensperger insisted that Trump's data was not correct but the president insisted: 'I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have.'

COMMENT:  The issue is not whether you like Trump or think he's the worst man in the world.  The issue is the appearance of a conspiracy, however loose, to destroy him politically.  All the legal charges against him have reached fruition in a five-month period just before a presidential election campaign. And many of the charges are brought by a Justice Department controlled by his opponent.

And some guy in Brooklyn is sitting there, looking at his TV screen and saying, "Whadaya kiddin' me?  You're tellin' me that this is all a coincidence?" That's the way a lot of real people see it, and that is not good for this country.  Also, there are nations around the world that depend on us, that have cast their fate with us.  How do you think we look to them right now?  The mess we're in domestically can have a profound effect on our foreign policy.  Countries. especially those who see an alternative like China, can decide to drift away from us, or become neutral.  It would be nice if some TV "journalists" would discuss these things.  But they're too busy anticipating the Trump trials, and praying that they're televised.

"The left needs two things to survive. It needs mediocrity, and it needs dependence. It nurtures mediocrity in the public schools and the universities. It nurtures dependence through its empire of government programs. A nation that embraces mediocrity and dependence betrays itself, and can only fade away, wondering all the time what might have been."
